What can I expect on my first visits at Parker's Outpatient Clinic?

All activity at Parker's Outpatient Clinic is under supervision of a licensed staff doctor. On a first visit to Parker’s Outpatient Clinic, you can expect a consultation where your intern will review your history & we will determine whether or not we can help you. If not, we will refer you to another health services provider. If yes, we will recommend a comprehensive physical exam which will include a number of diagnostic tests to help us pinpoint an appropriate diagnosis (should one be warranted) and begin treatment.

If we can help you but you have issues outside the chiropractic scope of practice, we may recommend a co-treatment plan with another health specialty. Chiropractic is not just about pain. Wellness care patients normally won't have a reason such as low back pain or headaches or neck pain for coming in. Chiropractic has been shown in studies to improve immune function so we have patients who come in for "immunity tune ups".

My personal experiences with chiropractic had a side effect of eliminating my allergy symptoms. I was diagnosed in my early 20's with allergies to dust, mold, and dog dander (we currently have 4 chihuahuas). All are year-round allergies & I used to take daily allergy meds. If I'm getting adjusted on a regular schedule, I don't have the allergy issues. If I start slacking off on my normal adjustment schedule, I have allergy symptoms again.

It took me several years after my first adjustment to talk my husband into seeing a DC. He's been seeing Dr Pillow at least once/week for the past 3 years. He mentioned recently that he realized after a slew of folks at work had been out ill that he's not had the flu or a cold.

Parker's Outpatient Clinic is an integral aspect of the Chiropractic intern's education experience and as a crucial portion of the early clinical experience, newer students observe more experienced students. This means ou may have company during your visits. Observing interns try to be as "invisible" as possible. Observing interns are not at a level where they would be able to answer clinical questions. Please reserve clinical questions for your adjusting intern or the attending staff doctor.
