I've been involved in Quality Assurance for a number of years. Recently, I decided to go back to school. My undergrad was in biomedical electrical engineering & I had planned on becoming an endocrinologist. By the time I finished at SMU, I was somewhat disenchanted with allopathy so I stayed in engineering.

I had been considering naturopathy and casually mentioned it to my chiropractor, Sammy Hardin. He suggested that I check into Parker College of Chiropractic. I did, but I also looked at TCC in Pasadena. TCC required current vaccines & Parker seemed stronger in academics based on a national board scores so I applied at Parker. My undergrad did not require any psychology courses so I had to take a psychology class before entry. I took a psychology course at DCCCD and now, I'm an intern at Parker. I'm taking 13.5 hours this trimester (Fall 2008) & I made the Dean's list for the summer 2008 term - WOW! I'm working on my third trimester as a TA (teaching assistant) in the Gross Anatomy Lab one day a week & I still work 40 hours a week as an engineer.

Free time? What is that?

On the rarity of spare time, I usually sleep or hit the treadmill.

Before I started school again, I enjoyed:
  • teaching a Wednesday night 5 year olds Mission Friends class at church,
  • making stained glass,
  • walking on the beach at Bolivar,
  • going to flea markets, and
  • reading.

Now, my reading is primarily material like Microbiology by Nestor. I used to waste time on crossword & wordsearch games & SuDoKu.
